Updates, backups, uptime and form monitoring, security patches, and a set number of content changes each month. You email a person, and the fix gets logged.
Plugins go a year without updates, the contact form quietly stops sending, the backup nobody tested turns out to be empty. Maintenance is cheap. Recovery is not.
The contact form has not sent an email in weeks
Backups exist but nobody has restored one
The last plugin update broke the layout, so updates stopped
Your developer has not replied in three months
What you get
What a maintenance plan covers
Plans are monthly. Cancel with thirty days’ notice.
01
Core and plugin updates
Applied on staging first, checked against key pages, then pushed live. Rolled back if anything moves.
02
Off-site backups
Daily, stored away from your host, and restored to a test site regularly so we know they work.
03
Uptime and form checks
Automated checks every few minutes, including a test submission, so we find a dead form before you do.
04
Security
Patches, login hardening, malware scanning, and a plan for the day something gets through.
05
Content changes
A set number of hours each month for text, images, new pages, and small design tweaks.
06
Monthly report
One page on what changed, what we fixed, how fast the site is, and anything you should decide on.
Typical timeline
How a month runs
Urgent issues are handled the same business day, not on a monthly cycle.
Step 01
First week
Onboarding
We audit the site, take ownership of backups, fix anything already broken, and document the setup.
Step 02
Ongoing
Weekly
Updates on staging, checks on key pages, monitoring reviewed, small requests cleared.
Step 03
Ongoing
Monthly
Backup restore test, speed check, security scan, and the one-page report to you.
Step 04
Ongoing
Quarterly
A short call on what the site needs next, from content gaps to work worth scoping.

Web Maintenance
Bakery, Calgary
Yann Haute Patisserie
Monthly updates, image compression, and seasonal content changes so the bakery site stays fast during holiday rushes.
Yes, after an audit. We check the code, hosting, and backups, quote any fixes needed up front, and then take it on. Occasionally we find a site that is cheaper to rebuild than to maintain, and we will say so.
Text, images, new pages from existing layouts, menu edits, and small design tweaks. New functionality or a redesign is quoted separately so your monthly hours are not quietly eaten.
